Donna Whittington has been working as Gallery Manager for LifewithArt at Gwent House in Cwmbran since the Charity Arts Centre opened in September 2022.  The work fits in nicely around the completion of her last year of a BA in Creative Therapeutic Art at The University of South Wales. Donna also enjoys working alongside tutors Alan and Lucy  when she has the opportunity to assist with LifewithArt workshops.

As a community artist my passion is in sharing my ideas to create art from recycling and re-purposing, especially with textiles and discarded items. The haptic process of creating handmade art, is therapeutic and calming. The themes of my work mostly lay rooted in nature, kindness and positivity. My artwork is functional and purposeful to be used and held. I create pieces that are sensory, tactile and immersive. Donna Whittington
