LifewithArt is off to a great start in 2016 opening 4 new charity art centres spanning the length of the UK.
In south-east England children from local special schools- Cliffdale Primary and Mary Rose Academy- have had a blast being messily creative in Wingfield House, Portsmouth.
It was really wonderful to see ‘N’ using paint. She is tactile defensive and I haven’t seen her do that before. Lynne, TA, Cliffdale Primary
Clients from Springmeadow & Martin Jackaman Day Centres enjoyed workshops in our Nottingham charity art centre throughout February & March. Helped by LwA artists Ruth and Angel the groups worked on large scale glass acetate sheets, building up layers of patterns and textures with unusual sensory materials. Using insulating tape, vintage stamps, old postcards and PLENTY of glue each individual put their creative mark on the communal piece.
The smiles on their faces say it all! Charlie, group leader, Springmeadow Day Centre
We are looking forward to our Stirling and Brierley Hill centres opening in April.
