LifewithArt is a long-term supporter of Riding for the Disabled Association (RDA), so we were delighted to, once again, sponsor the 2024 Arts and Crafts Competition and also be asked to run an all-day workshop for attendees at the RDA National Championships, occurring over the weekend of the 12th – 14th July 2024.
Being the biggest disabled equestrian event of its type, this year’s Championships marked the charity’s 55th anniversary of enriching lives of thousands of people with disabilities, long term health conditions and additional needs through contact with horses. Participants in the Championships were able to showcase their hard work by competing and taking part in classes from dressage and showjumping to carriage driving and vaulting.
The Arts & Crafts Competition is one of the highlights of the National Championships and any participant can take part. As always, the quality of artwork was incredibly high which made the exhibition a pleasure to view, but the judging of the competition really difficult!
LifewithArt also provided a day of workshops on Saturday 20th July, as part of the family fun day. LifewithArt tutor Amy, and I, spent the day running a workshop that gave attendees an opportunity to decorate their own tote bag with fabric pens! We were blown away with everyone’s creativity, passion, and stories for horses they drew!
