LifewithArt has been working with clients from Pathways Day Services since November 2021- one of the first Scottish groups to join us for workshops after the start of the pandemic. Despite the relaxation of government covid-19 guidelines, at that time, we started the sessions with strict social distancing, an intensive cleaning regime and mask wearing for all. The workshops were a great hit and the clients and tutors alike were obviously very pleased to be back out and about in the community! At first working out of Kilpatrick House in Hamilton and then later, after this Charity Arts Centre closed, in New Alderston House, Bellshill. Under the direction of tutors Henry and Steph, the artwork produced in the sessions has been truly outstanding – so much so that we decided an exhibition was in order.
On 19th October at Craigs Farm Community Hub in Livingston, LifewithArt and Pathways Day Services held a collaborative art exhibition featuring all of the artwork produced at LifewithArt workshops over the year. The artists had the opportunity to showcase their amazing pieces to their friends and family and the exhibition was a huge success.
“I was very impressed by the variety and quality of artwork on display. It was wonderful to meet the artists and to congratulate them on all of their hard word. My thanks to Henry Cruickshank and Steph Davidson for going the extra mile and producing such an amazing exhibition. ” Bethan Honeywill, LwA Chief Operating Officer
