LifewithArt is excited to have returned to Wales with our new charity arts centre in Swansea. Open throughout winter, we have been working with 3 local care homes creating the most fabulous artwork. Clients attended from St Martin’s, Peniel Green and Glynderwen Care Homes which provide residential, dementia and nursing care for elderly clients across Swansea.
Each workshop kicked off with a nice cup of tea and a chat to engage the clients and to decide what direction the session would take. During Valentine’s week the groups discussed love and made beautiful cards and gifts to give to loved ones. One workshop, Dorothy (aged 96!) got talking about the seaside which inspired the group to make seaside scenes. Other sessions included puppet making, acetate drawings and paintings of Swansea buildings and even a percussion workshop for the more musically minded. There really was something for everyone!
