Clients from Ripon Community Link, a charity which supports people with disabilities to achieve their life goals, have been attending LifewithArt workshops at Athelstan Court over the past few years. The group have recently been working hard to produce an amazing piece of artwork to be displayed in the Ripon Walled Garden as part of the charity’s 25th anniversary celebrations. The 2 week print project, run by LifewithArt tutor Fiona McDonald, involved rolling ink onto polystyrene board templates and printing onto paper. The prints were then combined to make a brightly coloured wall hanging.
Part of Ripon Community Link, the Ripon Walled Garden promotes community participation for all- enabling those disadvantaged in our society to achieve their goals, through choice, pursuing interests, learning, healthy living and making a positive contribution. Ripon Walled Garden provides a range of activities for adults with learning disabilities and mental health problems and many of the clients who attend the LifewithArt workshops are volunteers there.
Happy Anniversary Ripon Community Link!
