Once we had warmed up with a number of musical ice breakers and improvisation activities we got started on the main activity of the workshop – song-writing. The writing was a collaborative group effort and as tutors we took our lead from the participants. We began by writing down ideas for lyrics and trying out some musical ideas depending on where the group felt inspiration. We then built upon the foundation trying out different ideas and performing the song through a few times. So much talent and creativity! I was very impressed by both groups that we worked with and we had a lot of fun!
